LA VIDA DE LOS ESPÍRITUS - Jackie Sleper

JACKIE SLEPER: En el paisaje de esta obra podemos apreciar una tortuga y algunos pájaros. La Vida de los Espíritus la sitúo en un pueblo maya, desierto y con nubes intensas en las que los habitantes han desaparecido. No obstante esto, la vida continúa. No es una pintura común, pero es ahí donde radica la intensidad de la misma, entre más se observa la obra más real le parecerá al observador.

In this work I present the essence of the original cultures. The serpent and the eagle symbolise a beautiful fusion with nature, linking the heaven to the earth. The great spirituality of the encounter with nature and the observation of the cosmogony of the Mayas is reflected in this painting through the feathered serpent Kukulcan.
