JACKIE SLEPER: Después de atravesar un campo con borregos recién trasquilados me vinieron a la mente todos los objetos de lana realizados por los chiapanecos. Hermosos chales, cinturones y pequeñas bolsas con bellos diseños en brillantes colores.
En mi obra coloqué a los borregos en un tapete de hermosos colores en el cual se mecen y flotan como en otro mundo, el mundo de los chiapanecos.
After passing a field with recently sheared sheep I was reminded of all the beautiful objects made out of wool by the Chiapanecos, such as shawls, belts and small bags in brilliant colours and designs.
In this work I placed the sheep on a carpet of beautiful colours, on which they float and sway as if in another world, the colourful world of the Chiapanecos.
